Job Description

We are seeking a Surgical Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse with experience in telemetry and cardiac surgery. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in managing post-operative care for open-heart and vascular patients, and should possess excellent IV skills. The role requires flexibility and the ability to float to similar units as needed, with a patient ratio of 1:4.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients recovering from open-heart and vascular surgeries.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Conduct assessments and manage care plans for patients with cardiac conditions.
• Perform procedures such as blood product administration and cardioversion.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy and social services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• 2-3 years of telemetry experience, preferably in a surgical cardiac setting.
• Experience with VAD and TAVR is optional but preferred.
• Previous charge experience is recommended.
