Cath Lab & IR Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position offers 4 ten-hour day shifts from Monday to Friday, with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Call rotation includes approximately 10-11 days of call per month, including holiday and weekend rotations.

Job Description

The Cath Lab & IR Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment to provide high-quality care to adult patients undergoing cardiac procedures. The RN will ensure optimal patient flow and be responsible for managing both patient assignments and direct patient care as needed. This role requires experience in catheterization and must include a strong understanding of invasive cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a variety of cardiac procedures within the Cath Lab and IR.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
• Manage patient care pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs effectively.
• Maintain and adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Educate patients and families on procedural care and support post-operative recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• Current RN License in the state of West Virginia.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• Experience with IABP and IVUS required.
