Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30); 48 hours guaranteed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of recent experience in a step-down unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to adults and geriatrics, managing complex cardiac and respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-heart catheterization and vascular procedure care.
• Perform frequent vital signs and neurovascular checks.
• Administer medications, including emergency medications and procedural sedation.
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive drips.
• Conduct cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Perform IV starts, maintenance, and PICC line management.
• Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent step-down or telemetry nursing experience.
• Experience with cardiac and emergency care, including dysrhythmia management.

Location

Local candidates are accepted; lower bill rates apply for those living within 50 miles of the facility.
