Physical Therapist - Acute Care Setting

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (40 hours guaranteed).

Job Description

Under general supervision, the Physical Therapist delivers physical therapy services through the evaluation of patient needs, goal determination, and development of treatment plans in accordance with the Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act. The therapist treats patients using appropriate therapeutic interventions and participates in team and interdisciplinary meetings, demonstrating competency in treating multiple patient populations within the acute care setting, including at least one high-risk patient population.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions based on treatment plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate proficiency in treating at least two high-risk patient populations per hour.
• Utilize standardized tests to support documentation.
• Manage an average caseload per productivity standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of current Physical Therapy experience - REQUIRED
• BS, Masters, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy - REQUIRED
• Active Maryland Physical Therapist license - REQUIRED
• Acute care experience - HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification - REQUIRED
• COVID vaccine - DECLINATIONS NOT ACCEPTED
