Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care for laboring mothers, assist with delivery, and ensure immediate postpartum care for both mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate should possess strong labor and delivery skills with a minimum of three years of experience in this specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for laboring mothers during the delivery process.
• Assist with the delivery and provide immediate care for newborns.
• Ensure post-delivery care for mothers.
• Utilize computerized systems for recording and monitoring (Meditech).
• Monitor fetal status with fetal monitoring systems (GE/Centricity).

Schedule

This position offers variable shifts, including both day and night shifts. The typical schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. Scheduled call is required at least once a month with no guaranteed hours or shift preference.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse License required by the start of the assignment.
• BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory.
• STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications are recommended.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
