Job Description

The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. This role emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures and provide education as needed.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and response to treatments during procedures.
• Administer medications and intravenous fluids according to established protocols.
• Assist physicians with interventional procedures and ensure the sterile field is maintained.
• Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiac Cath Lab or similar specialty.
• Active Ohio RN license required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications must be current and active.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
