Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills in patient assessment and decision-making.
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and professional development.

Schedule

This is a night shift position, working from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, three days a week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Nursing.
• Must have a valid RN license.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is required.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
