Job Description

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing optimal diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care in the Imaging Department. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, to ensure individual needs are met through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment competently and verify physician orders for diagnostic exams.
• Provide optimal patient care and maintain safety during procedures.
• Consult with Radiologists to determine contrast media and improve image quality.
• Document patient history, symptoms, and informed consent for procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain appropriate supplies and records.
• Assist in other modalities within the department as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be proficient in fluoroscopy.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required upon hire.
• State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography is required.
• AHA BLS certification is necessary.
• Minimum of 2 years of radiology experience is required.
