Job Description

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the general direction of a physician and the department supervisor. You will specialize in areas such as Cardiac, Vascular, or General ultrasound, ensuring adherence to industry standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform various diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols.
• Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in ultrasound imaging.
• Review and evaluate images for quality, technique, and completeness.
• Provide training and mentorship to new staff and ultrasound students.
• Participate in accreditation processes for respective modalities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor, including equipment maintenance and compliance with accreditation standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• One year of breast ultrasound experience is required.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in the relevant departmental area.
• Licenses: ARMDS, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography RDMS required.
• CPR certification upon hire, and AHA BLS within 60 days of hire.
