Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00); Night 3x12-Hour (19:30 - 07:30). Alternating shifts with a possibility of straight nights.

Job Description

Join our dedicated team in the Shock Trauma PACU, where you will provide exceptional peri-anesthesia care, specializing in the management of traumatic injuries. This unique 12-bay unit operates 24/7, catering to patients undergoing both scheduled and emergency surgeries. As part of our team, you will contribute to the high standards of care expected at a Level I Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide vigilant pre-and post-operative care to patients.
• Monitor and manage patients post-surgery, including titration of vasopressors and airway management.
• Administer blood products and perform fluid resuscitation when necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain patients for various surgical procedures.
• Support trauma resuscitation procedures as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Maryland State RN License.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Strong ICU experience is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience.
• Experience with Epic charting system is a must.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
