Registered Nurse - IMCU Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift (7 PM - 7 AM) with rotational coverage to days as needed. Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in a mixed IMCU and Med-Surg tele unit. You will be responsible for monitoring both IMCU and MS patients, with a patient load of 4 for IMCU and 6 to 8 for Med-Surg. The role involves collaboration with LPNs for medication administration and requires ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to IMCU and Med-Surg patients.
• Administer IV medications and perform patient assessments.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage patient responses.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures for patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Active RN license (PA or Compact) is mandatory.
• Experience with IMCU and Med-Surg patients is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system required.
