Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Job Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant serves as a member of the physical therapy team by assisting the Physical Therapist in the delivery of patient treatments and management of referred patients. The PTA provides documentation of treatment and outcomes, discharge planning, and patient/family/caregiver education. Participates in administrative duties and performance improvement initiatives, pursues professional growth, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering patient treatments.
• Document treatment plans and patient outcomes clearly and accurately.
• Participate in discharge planning processes and patient education.
• Engage in administrative duties and quality improvement initiatives.
• Pursue opportunities for professional development and growth.

Schedule

This position is full-time, with a shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, five days a week, including two weekend days per month.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient rehab experience preferred.
• Current Arizona Physical Therapy Assistant license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
