Emergency Room Registered Nurse - Nights

Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; floating and call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor side effects.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC required.
• NRP preferred.
• Fingerprint clearance for New Mexico required.
