Schedule

Days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, every other weekend, with floating and call required, though rarely needed.

Job Description

The Med Surg RN will work in a general medical-surgical unit, providing care for patients, which may include post-operative orthopedic and general surgery cases. The nurse may occasionally float to the ICU to manage medical-surgical overflow or step-down patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist in post-operative care and recovery management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Fingerprint clearance for New Mexico travelers is mandatory.
