Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) will provide care for patients experiencing medical emergencies. This role requires effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing support in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients' conditions and developing care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring patient progress and responding to changes in condition.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
• Documenting patient care and outcomes accurately in the charting system.
• Providing education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of experience in Emergency Room settings is required.
• AHA or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be current at the time of submittal.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to starting the position.
• Epic experience at a level 3 or 4 is required.
• Must be nicotine-free; a negative 10-panel drug screen (including nicotine) is required.
