OB/GYN Emergency Room Nurse

Job Description

This role involves working in a 10-bed triage unit that caters to all female health emergency patients, including those in OB/GYN, labor and delivery, and some who may have medical-surgical or female health issues. Candidates are required to have at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery or OB/GYN, and emergency room experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess female health emergency patients.
• Provide care in the OB/GYN and labor and delivery departments.
• Maintain an efficient patient-nurse ratio of 1:3.
• Utilize EPIC for patient documentation and charting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of L&D/OBGYN experience required.
• Emergency room experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in EPIC is required; training is not provided.
• Must possess current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Active nursing license required.
