Job Description

This position involves providing expert nursing care in the neurosurgical operating room. The RN will be required to have full competency in neurosurgical procedures, including craniotomies and complex spine surgeries. Occasionally, the RN will float to other services within the main OR.

Responsibilities

• Delivering safe and effective care during neurosurgical procedures.
• Assisting in surgeries, focusing on craniotomies and spinal interventions.
• Floating to other surgical units as needed based on departmental demands.
• Adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Participating in on-call schedules as per unit needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred CNOR certification.
• Valid WA or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Competency in various surgical procedures, including but not limited to ALIF, cervical fusions, and laparoscopic surgeries.
