Med Surg Night Shift Registered Nurse

Night shifts (3x12-hour) from 18:30 to 07:00. Options available for 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Description

Join a dynamic Med Surg unit focusing on Stroke and Surgical patients. The facility has telemetry central monitoring tech available 24/7. The unit welcomes first-time travelers and requires floating to similar units when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for stroke and surgery patients.
• Manage and monitor telemetry systems.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform patient assessments and maintain accurate patient records.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and social services.
• Follow established protocols for patient safety and infection control.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience required.
• Current certifications in BLS and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Experience with charting in Epic is required.
• Knowledge in patient care management skills including IV maintenance, BPAP/CPAP management, and colostomy care is preferred.
