Rotating every other week with 3x12 and 4x10 shifts. Rotating days to work.

Job Description

The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs routine and special laboratory assays on patient specimens across all sections of the Clinical Laboratory. This role involves exercising independent judgment when evaluating the validity of test results prior to reporting. Responsibilities include operating and calibrating all equipment in the area of specialization, recording test results, and communicating effectively with physicians, pathologists, and nursing staff regarding test procedures and results.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
• American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification
• Experience with EPIC, Vitros, Unity, and WellSky is preferred
• ASCP Specialty certifications are preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
