Monday - Friday, day shifts with evening on-call responsibilities (until 11 PM). No weekends or holidays required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is a highly trained RN who collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team to perform safe operations with optimal outcomes for patients. This role requires both a CNOR certification and completion of an accredited RNFA program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgeon and healthcare team during operative procedures.
• Perform duties of OR staff RN when not assigned in RNFA role.
• Assure optimal surgical conditions and patient safety throughout the perioperative experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (New York State ONLY)
• CNOR Certification
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course
• Da Vinci Robotics experience in various surgical specialties (urology, GYN, colorectal, surgical oncology, thoracic, general surgery)
• Two years of OR experience preferred
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS Certification preferred (American Heart Association ONLY)
