Job Description

The Center for Cardiovascular Health offers a single point of service for patients in need of care during early or advanced stages of heart disease and vascular disease. The role includes providing specialized care and support to patients recovering from cardiac events, helping them regain their strength and improve their cardiovascular health.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality triage and patient care utilizing strong assessment skills and point of care testing.
• Collaborate with clinicians to assess and establish care plans for complex patients.
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a high-volume cardiology clinic.
• Manage patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), including conducting in-clinic and remote device interrogations.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure care for device implantation.
• Administer and manage cardiac medications while educating patients on adherence and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular disease management and lifestyle modifications.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of recent Outpatient Cardiology experience.
• Device management experience is highly preferred.
• Acute care experience is highly preferred.
• Active Vermont or Compact license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
