Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) will be responsible for providing direct patient care in a medical-surgical unit, ensuring high standards of nursing care are met. This position requires proficiency with the Epic charting system and a commitment to maintaining a nurse to patient ratio of 1:6.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize isolation precautions and manage PPE as required.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Engage in patient and family education as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with Epic EMR within the last 6 months is preferred.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
