Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse for a High Risk Labor & Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high acuity and fast-paced environments, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, including significant high risk experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care during labor and delivery.
• Function as a Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of the newborn.
• Perform newborn assessments, including administering Vitamin K and eye care.
• Circulate during cesarean sections as needed.
• Support mothers in high-risk obstetrical conditions.
• Utilize electronic fetal monitoring and Epic for charting.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to adhere to AWHONN guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a high acuity Labor & Delivery environment.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Must possess current supervisory references and proof of required certifications.
• Must pass clinical review; do not submit without proof of current NURSYS.
• Experience in postpartum and antepartum care is essential.
• Candidates must meet hard stop requirements for circulating and providing newborn care.
