Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30, with a 3x12-hour schedule. Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will work primarily with medical-surgical patients, including pre-op and post-op care, while being capable of remote telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6.
• Conduct EKG monitoring and manage patients' telemetry needs.
• Float to different Cone Health campuses as required for patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg or telemetry setting.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system required.
• Charge RN experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with telemetry and remote monitoring is necessary.
