Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. The nurse ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. This role demonstrates performance aligned with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization, treating staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to patient age and needs.
• Ensure quality care delivery in alignment with standards of care.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients and their families.
• Respond to emergency situations with appropriate interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification required.
• Knowledge appropriate to the age/type of patient population served.
• Ability to communicate effectively with respect to patient development levels.
