CVICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified CVICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in post-operative open heart recovery, manage complex medical devices, and provide support for patients with chronic and acute conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care for CVICU patients, including those recovering from fresh heart surgeries such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.
• Manage and interpret various monitoring devices such as Pulmonary Artery Lines, Flotrack, and Swan Ganz.
• Administer medications and perform interventions as per protocol, assessing patient's conditions regularly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Float to other ICU areas as needed, maintaining high standards of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current CVICU experience or may consider SICU experience with additional training.
• Active NJ or Compact RN License.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax is essential.
• Familiarity with charting systems, preferably Epic, is preferred.
