CVICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in a cardiovascular intensive care setting. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, managing a ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 depending on patient acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care for patients with fresh hearts and complex medical needs.
• Manage ventilated patients, including those with chest tubes and lumbar drains.
• Perform post-operative care for open-heart surgery patients such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.
• Utilize advanced monitoring and support devices including Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of current CVICU experience; SICU experience may be considered with training.
• Active NJ RN License or Compact License required at the time of submission.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with relevant medical equipment and procedures, including post-operative open-heart recovery.
