LPN Part Time Position

Job Description

This is a part-time position for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with 24 hours per week. The role involves performing direct and indirect resident care in accordance with established policies and procedures. The LPN will demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan and provide age-appropriate care for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Meet resident's activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in the plan of care, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, catheter care, and toileting needs.
• Ensure residents' environment and safety are maintained, addressing call lights and alarms promptly, and monitoring equipment for functionality.
• Assist with residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery and feeding, while respecting their preferences and choices.
• Support residents in rehabilitative needs such as range of motion exercises, ambulation, and proper body alignment.
• Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner while documenting care as per protocol.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY LPN Licensure
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Must have at least one year of experience as an LPN
• High School Diploma or GED is required

Schedule

The position requires part-time day and evening variable shifts, scheduled as needed (2x8s/3x8s), including every other weekend and holiday shifts on a 3x8 hour basis.
