Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients using the Nursing Process, in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The Registered Nurse will demonstrate critical thinking and leadership skills while planning for safe patient care delivery, delegating tasks according to the skill and experience of the staff, and supervising personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities effectively.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 to 5 years of nursing experience required.
• ACLS & BLS certifications (American Heart Association) required.
• Experience with vent/trach and knowledge of central lines preferred.
• Must possess a current Colorado or multi-state compact RN license.
• Wound care experience preferred.
• Patient ratios are 1:6.
