Day shift, 12x3 schedule; weekends required.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Neuro Stepdown Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a neuro stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will possess neuro stepdown experience and will ideally hold an NIHSS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to neuro stepdown patients.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro stepdown or strong med/surg nursing with some stepdown experience.
• Current NIHSS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.
• Nursys License Verification must be provided.
• Work history must show no gaps greater than 60 days.
• References and a Certification Card must be included in the application.
