Job Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, providing high-quality patient care in a rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will support patients recovering from various conditions including neuro, orthopedic, debility, and cardiac issues.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

• Assisting patients in therapy sessions to promote recovery and improvement of functional activities
• Implementing treatment plans developed by physical therapists
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress
• Maintaining equipment and therapy supplies
• Communicating effectively with patients and their families about treatment goals and progress

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) or skilled nursing facility (SNF).
