Job Description

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will work in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, providing therapy services to patients recovering from various conditions including strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, and orthopedic injuries. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an inpatient rehab facility or skilled nursing facility and possess strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment and treatment planning of patients.
• Implement occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and functional tasks.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility required.
• Active COTA license in Missouri.
