Schedule

Ideal schedule includes three 12-hour shifts weekly with a 36-hour guarantee. The repeating schedule consists of:

• Every Monday and Tuesday: 5:30am - 6:00pm (12-Hour Days)
• Two Wednesdays per month: 5:30pm - 6:00am (12-Hour Night Shift)
• One Saturday/Sunday weekend shift: 5:30am - 6:00pm (12-Hour Days)

Alternatively, every Wednesday: 5:30pm - 6:00am (12-Hour Night Shift) if the ideal schedule cannot be met.

Job Description

This position requires a Respiratory Therapist who, independently or in consultation with a physician, administers medications, performs various therapeutic modalities, and conducts diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system. The therapist is responsible for responding to arrest and emergency situations and providing CPR and life support systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care to evaluate and treat protocol evaluations.
• Delivers medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
• Responds to all Rapid Responses, arrest, or STAT situations immediately, maintaining artificial airways, and performing respiration and cardiac compressions.
• Sets up and maintains all oxygen according to protocol.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ Years of RRT Experience - Required
• Previous Travel Work Experience - Preferred
• Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (Respiratory Therapy) - Required
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms Completed within the last two years - Required
• Active American Heart Association BLS - Required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS - Required
• Active American Heart Association PALS - Required
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification - Required
• Active RRT Certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) - Required
• LARA must state Active Michigan/MI License - Required
