Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care to patients during labor and post-partum. The clinician must possess strong skills in managing obstetrical conditions and demonstrate the ability to handle high-risk antepartum cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist in labor delivery, post-partum care and triage of obstetrical patients.
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and circulation for C-section.
• Manage patients on anticoagulation therapy and other medications like magnesium sulfate and insulin drips.
• Utilize and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC).
• Maintain central lines and adhere to isolation precautions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP; AWHONN Advanced preferred.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
