Night shift, 3x12-hour from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekend requirement of every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CVICU Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of critical care experience, specializing in high-acuity post-operative cardiac patients. The role is focused on providing exceptional care in a post open-heart recovery unit, also working with patients having thoracotomies and esophagogastrectomies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias, including ECMO and IABP.
• Provide post-operative care directly from the OR for cardiac surgery patients.
• Monitor Pulmonary Artery Lines/Swan Ganz, and manage Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD/RVAD).
• Administer blood products and manage central line care.
• Perform continuous IV sedation and titrate cardiac drips.
• Care for ventilated patients and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and proper PPE use.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience.
• Must have CVICU or open heart experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Traveler experience is not accepted for first-time travelers.
