Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse

This is a night shift position, requiring three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holidays as needed. Float may be required across all facilities as needed.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The nurse will also be required to manage observation patients and handle complex needs related to respiratory conditions, surgical recovery, and end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patients.
• Administer medications and manage IVs effectively.
• Provide care for patients undergoing pre and post-surgical procedures.
• Conduct health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families on health management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
• Previous Charge RN experience is preferred.
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam as part of onboarding.
