Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. The PACU provides specialized care for patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring optimal safety and recovery. You will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, managing patient pain, and delivering post-operative care to patients in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress from anesthesia.
• Provide pain management and comfort measures for patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the medical team.
• Communicate patient status to interdisciplinary team members effectively.
• Assist with patient transfers and ensure a safe discharge plan.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Experience with trauma patients and pediatric patients is highly preferred.
• Knowledge in ventilator monitoring and NIH Stroke Scale is required.
