Schedule

The Med-Surg RN will work a rotating shift schedule of 3x12 hours, alternating between nights (19:00 - 07:30) and days (07:00 - 19:30), depending on unit needs, with required holiday rotation and weekend commitment.

Job Description

The Med-Surg RN will provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit. The position requires the ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and maintain patient care standards while adhering to a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Manage and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care.
• Document patient care in the electronic health record (EPIC).
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of Med-Surg nursing experience required.
• Current South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact State RN License is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Charge experience preferred.
