Job Description

This position sets up all radiographic equipment prior to performing angiographic procedures, processes and performs quality control checks on cine radiographic images, assists in preparing patients for procedures, and supports other members of the cath lab/Interventional Radiology staff and physicians as needed to ensure timely and efficient use of the cardiac cath lab/special procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in prepping patients, sterile tray setup, post-cath care and procedures, and room cleanup.
• Manipulates equipment and sets appropriate techniques on radiographic generators to achieve optimal image quality.
• Operates a variety of electronic equipment including cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation equipment, hemodynamic equipment, and pacemakers, and performs oxygen saturation studies and cardiac output measurements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Cath Lab Tech Experience - Required
• Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (Cath Lab) - Required
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms Completed within the last two years - Required
• Active Certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Required
• Active American Heart Association BLS - Required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS - Required
