Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM; No weekend shifts required.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a large acute care facility and be a team player who will provide exceptional care to our patients. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, establishing plans of care and treatment programs, providing interventions, and delivering patient and family education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish comprehensive plans of care.
• Provide interventions and therapies in line with evidence-based practice.
• Document interventions thoroughly and bill appropriately.
• Support Lead Clinicians in competency development and implementation.
• Participate in the orientation of new staff members.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for students.
• Exercise independent judgment on moderately complex cases.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid New Jersey License to practice Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy academic program.
• 0-4 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is strongly preferred.
• Experience in Acute Care in a large academic medical setting is preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a successful clinical affiliation with Atlantic Health.
• Board Certification as a Specialist in an area suitable for care in an acute care setting is a plus.
