Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for this position. The role requires active Wisconsin RN licensure, education verification, flu vaccination, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS certification. The successful candidate may work at our second Emergency Department location within Janesville.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws practice act.
• Document according to standards of care.
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and or clinic policy including patient and family instruction.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities.
• Utilize clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Employ critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalate to the appropriate chain of command.
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer review process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Wisconsin RN Licensure
• Education Verification
• Flu Vaccination
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
• TNCC or TNS certification
