Pediatric Echo Tech - Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Will work Monday through Friday, with shifts ranging from 06:30 AM to 08:00 AM for 8-hour shifts. No weekends or holidays required.

Job Description

The Pediatric Echo Tech will be responsible for performing pediatric echocardiograms, focusing on complex congenital heart defects. The role requires proficiency with GE Vivid 95 equipment and experience in using PACS systems for full report entry. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of complex heart diseases and defects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pediatric echocardiograms with a daily caseload of 4-10 patients.
• Collaborate with medical team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Complete full reports in the PACS system effectively.
• Provide excellent patient and family support during procedures.
• Participate in the floating between SJCH and SMP clinics as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Echo Tech.
• Registered Pediatric Sonographer (ARDMS) with the PE certification or CCI with the RCCS certification required at the time of start.
• Proficient in scanning pediatric echocardiograms and understanding complex congenital heart defects.
• BLS certification required.
