This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Variable - 8 or 12 hour shifts, scheduled 80 hours in a 2-week period, with one on-call shift per roster and at least one weekend off per roster.

Job Description

The Emergency Medical Technician will be responsible for performing a range of emergency medical services. The successful candidate will be proficient in IV skills, understand core measures and National Patient Safety Goals, and will be familiar with AIDET and Press Ganey patient customer services.

Responsibilities

• Handle emergency procedures, including Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations.
• Work efficiently and independently while multitasking.
• Utilize Meditech EMR, Life pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• More than 2 years of experience in emergency medical services.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications are requested but not mandatory.
• Candidates must possess a valid State of Hawaii license prior to start date.
