Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Nights)

Night shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. This role utilizes the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with prior travel experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Must be able to wear Navy scrubs.
