Job Description

We are seeking a competent Critical Care Registered Nurse with experience in a clinical setting to provide independent nursing care for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric post-surgical cases. The nurse will utilize the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care that meets the needs of patients using the nursing process.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a critical care nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications required (AHA only).
• RN License in the state of Texas or compact license.
