Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and postpartum care, and will be responsible for providing high-quality care during childbirth and in the postpartum period. This role requires the ability to float between like units and to maintain a patient ratio of 1:3.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients and support through the postpartum period
• Monitor patients throughout labor and delivery, assessing fetal well-being and maternal health
• Assist with high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum procedures, including C-sections
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and administer necessary medications, including anticoagulation therapy
• Maintain central lines as necessary

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery
• Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS, BLS, NRP
• Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
• Experience with Epic charting system is required
