Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30). Flexibility to work weekends is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a strong Registered Nurse with precepting skills to support the PM shift in the Mother/Baby unit. The ideal candidate should be able to float between similar units and accommodate block scheduling based on the manager's discretion. Responsibilities will include providing care to low and high-risk labor patients, adhering to AWHONN standards, and effectively managing patient care during labor and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Mother/Baby unit.
• Support labor patients, managing a patient ratio of 1:1 during active labor.
• Circulate and recover cesarean sections.
• Perform routine assessments and administer medications as prescribed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (or C-EFM), BCLS, NRP.
• Must possess a valid California nursing license.
• Ability to float between Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance and Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro.
