Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Behavioral Health RN to provide care to adult patients in a specialized unit. The RN will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care while maintaining a supportive environment for patients experiencing mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to patients with behavioral health issues.
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment plans.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Behavioral Health Units or Psychiatric care.
• Valid RN license in the state of Iowa.
• Must have Iowa SING background check completed (including criminal and child abuse checks).
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) required.
• Completion of a 10-panel drug test, including opiates.
• Titers for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB must be current (within the last 12 months).
