Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled nurse for the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and caring for patients in a high-acuity setting, specifically those recovering from cardiovascular procedures and managing various cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for a 55-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4 during night shifts.
• Implement and monitor cardiac drips, phlebotomy, and administer blood products.
• Manage patients pre and post cardiac surgeries, including sheath removal and care of CVA patients.
• Utilize advanced skills in telemetry and the interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of preferred experience in a progressive care or cardiac unit.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC documentation system is necessary.
