Schedule

Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) and Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) shifts, with potential for variable scheduling to meet operational needs.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a Stepdown Unit with the opportunity to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for similar patient populations. Candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a progressive care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients, including monitoring vital signs and managing medical equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accurately.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness promotion.
• Participate in unit activities and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit.
• Must hold a current Ohio RN license or a Compact State License.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience in floating between units is preferred but not mandatory.
• All candidates must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
